This Cookies Policy explains how Deshana Enterprises Pvt. Ltd., operating SMS Dekho through its unit Deshana IT (“SMS Dekho”, “we”, “us”, “our”), uses cookies and similar technologies on smsdekho.com (the “Website”). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your browser or device when you visit it. They let the site remember your actions and preferences, keep you signed in, understand how the site is used, and, where enabled, deliver relevant content and measure marketing.
We also use similar technologies that work in a comparable way:
- Local storage and session storage: browser storage used to save preferences or temporary state.
- Pixels / web beacons: tiny images or scripts that record that a page or email was viewed.
- SDKs and scripts: third-party code embedded in the Website to provide analytics or features.
In this policy, “cookies” includes all of these technologies.
2. Types of cookies we use
2.1 Strictly necessary cookies
These are essential for the Website to work and cannot be switched off in our systems. They include cookies that keep you signed in to the customer or admin dashboard, protect against cross-site request forgery and other security threats, balance server load, and remember your cookie choices. Because they are necessary, they do not require consent.
2.2 Functional / preference cookies
These remember choices you make (such as language or region, form entries, and whether you have dismissed a banner or chat prompt) so the Website works more smoothly. Disabling them may make some features less convenient.
2.3 Analytics and performance cookies
These help us understand how visitors reach and use the Website, which pages and services are popular, where users drop off, and how fast pages load, so we can improve content and performance. The data is aggregated or pseudonymised where possible.
2.4 Marketing and advertising cookies
If enabled, these record visits to the Website and interactions with our pages and campaigns, so we can measure the effectiveness of our marketing, show relevant content, and, on platforms such as Google or Meta, reach people who visited our site. These are set only with your consent, where consent is required.
3. Cookies we may use
The exact cookies depend on the tools active on the Website at any time. The table below shows the categories and typical examples.
| Category | Purpose | Example cookie / storage | Provider | Typical duration |

| Embedded content | Enables WhatsApp chat links, video or map embeds | Third-party cookies | WhatsApp / YouTube / Google | Varies |
Names, providers and durations may change as we update the Website. Only the tools that are actually live on the Website when you visit will set cookies.
4. Third-party cookies
Some cookies are placed by third parties that provide services to us or content embedded in our pages, such as analytics, advertising, and social platforms. We do not control these cookies. Please refer to the third party's own policy:
5. Your choices and how to manage cookies
Cookie banner / preferences. When you first visit the Website, you can accept, reject or customise non-essential cookies. You can change your choice at any time or by clearing your browser cookies so the banner appears again.
Browser settings. Most browsers let you view, block or delete cookies. Steps differ by browser:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies
- Safari: Settings/Preferences → Privacy
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the Website from working, such as logging in.
Analytics and ad opt-outs. You can opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, and manage ad personalisation through your Google and Meta ad settings.
Do Not Track. Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no common standard for how to respond, so the Website may not react to these signals, but you can use the controls above.
Mobile devices. You can reset or limit advertising identifiers in your device settings.
6. Consent
Where required by Applicable Law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies that process personal data. You can withdraw consent at any time through the cookie settings or your browser. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew.
7. Cookies and personal data
Some cookies may collect personal data such as your IP address, device identifiers or browsing activity. We handle this data as described in our Privacy Policy, including how long we keep it, who we share it with, and your rights.
8. Cookies in emails and messages
Our marketing emails and some messages may include tracking links or pixels to tell us whether a message was opened or a link was clicked. You can stop this by unsubscribing, disabling image loading in your email client, or opting out of communications.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookies Policy to reflect changes in technology, the Website or the law. The “Last updated” date shows the latest revision, and for material changes we will provide a notice or request fresh consent where needed.
